Japanese entertainment conglomerate Yoshimoto Kogyo and South Korean entertainment company CJ E&M will co-produce “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN”, based on the reality television talent competition franchise popular in South Korea and China. This Japanese spin-off follows 101 trainees with the intention of producing an 11-member boy band, with members selected by viewers.

Mima Taro is a writer who has hit a slump. Tired of city life, he moves into the house he inherited from his father in the mountainous Hayabusa. When he joins the fire brigade, he becomes involved in a series of arson cases and suspicious incidents. As Taro searches for the truth, a huge conspiracy comes to the surface.

All you need is a small desk and musical instruments. NHK is launching a Japanese version of the worldwide phenomenon "tiny desk concerts," originally pioneered by American public broadcaster NPR. Set in the actual offices of NHK, the series will breathe new life into music as artists perform in a setting that is anything but ordinary.

The survival show brings together 30 girls who have faced rejection and self-doubt, giving them the chance to showcase their voices and stories under producer Chanmina’s guidance. With BMSG’s philosophy of nurturing talent, they compete to turn every “No” into a “Yes” and form a girl group ready to take on the world.
