Francis is a young gay man, Marie is a young straight woman and the two of them are best friends -- until the day the gorgeous Nicolas walks into a Montreal coffee shop. Despite an exceptional temperature this beautiful winter day in 1992, Claude decided to end his story with a toaster and a bathtub. Alain, his little brother, returns from jogging when he discovers that the device has been stolen!

Five years after the death of their mother, Rémi, Mathieu and Christian have not changed much. Rémi is still as prolific and travels the world, multiplying his conquests, Mathieu leads a relatively peaceful life with his daughters and his wife and Christian lives off his brothers, hoping to find the perfect partner and finally settle down. When Rémi is kicked out of his house by his wife who discovers his infidelity and he suffers a panic attack, his brothers come to his rescue. Despite their different lifestyles, Rémi, Mathieu and Christian will try to help each other in order to form the united family that their mother would have wanted for them.

A disconnected family find themselves at a hospital. The father is in urgent need of a kidney transplant and all of the family members are compatible donners. This situation brings back old conflicts between them, all to settle with an odd reconciliation.

Hélène, a woman living alone in a suburban house in 1976, is confronted by her past when her husband suddenly reappears after going away for a year and a half to write a novel.
