Survivor is more than the saga of a perilous journey. It's a story of a mother's bond, a species' endurance, and one extraordinary calf's breath-taking survival.

Zambia's Luangwa river hippos are living the easy life, or so it seems. Their life fluctuates between the serenity of sunbathing to the terrible brutality of dominance and aggression.

Nature documentary about a young wildebeest in the wilderness of Africa. The gnu calf strays from the herd and comes upon a lioness that kidnaps it. Instinctively, it treats the lion like its mother. And miraculously enough, the lioness does not see the calf as its prey. Like a true Survivor, the calf manages to escape from the lion's den and find its way back to its real mother.

The emotional story of a mother giraffe, Mama Twiga, and the struggles of young giraffes and gazelles as they take on the risks of growing in the wilds of Swahili.

Successful lions need to be brutal and use any means to quash would-be kings. These are not random acts of violence, but vital behaviour to secure their own genetic future.
