The yakuza world has entered an age of war. In Owari, Nobuhide Oriki (Tokuma Nishioka) pushes for unification, while his son Nobunaga (Hitoshi Ozawa) seizes territory by force. Suruga boss Yoshimoto Imanishi (Naoya Makoto) launches an invasion, sending Ieyasu Tokusawa (Yasukaze Motomiya)—but he’s abducted by Nobunaga’s ambitious younger brother, Nobuyuki (Masaki Nishimori), who is soon captured himself. A truce is struck with a hostage exchange, but when the Imanishi underboss turns up dead, peace collapses and war erupts. Munakata (Takanori Kikuchi), assistant to the Marugami-kai chairman, is released from prison and reunited with Kawatani and Himuro, recalling their shared past. As Kyowakai restructures, Kawatani delivers a shocking message to Himuro.

Himuro and Tamura of the Kyowakai finally take revenge by taking down the perpetrator of Shibuya's murder. While he was pouring out his thoughts in front of a grave in Shibuya, Baba, who was supposed to have defected to the Kyojinkai, appeared. On the other hand, the Marukami-kai in the Kanto region will no longer be under pressure from politicians, and a conflict with the Kyowa-kai in the Hokuriku region will become inevitable.

In Tohoku, many groups join the Kanto-based Marugami-kai led by Mita (Shun Sugata), but Hirakawa (Hitomi Matsuda) of Shinyukai refuses and instead joins Kyowakai. Seeking revenge, Marugami-kai Vice Director Tsurumi (Mikio Osawa) prepares for conflict. Within Kyowakai, Wakagashira-hosa Kijima becomes isolated, while former Kudo-gumi members plot a return by targeting Chairman Kawatani (Hitoshi Ozawa). Meanwhile, Ryoichi (Shin Koyanagi), son of the first Gonda-gumi boss, is released from prison and placed under Himuro’s care—bringing new uncertainty.
