After taking out the chairman of the Tajima-kai—a subgroup of Kansai's largest syndicate, the Yamagami-gumi—to settle a turf dispute, Ryu Yamanaka (Koji Matoba) returns to the Miura family after a long prison sentence. But everything has changed. The weakened Miura clan, with their leader Miura (Eiichiro Funakoshi) bedridden from illness, has had their territory encroached upon by the now-allied Tajima-kai. As rumors of succession stir with Ryu's return, Tajima and Yamagami's underhanded schemes begin to surface.
