What does a DIY publishing art collective, an activist samba percussion band and a queer community space have in common besides sharing a leaking roof above their heads? The film portrays the residents of Casa Zemstvei - an alternative culture space with a vibrant community in Chisinau throughout the eventful year of 2023, and their struggle to establish a sustainable cultural center, which was shaken by a hole that emerged suddenly in the ceiling and that apparently cannot be fixed.

Quiet rituals, comforts of daily life, memory flickers through grainy traces. Time quietly slips away. Peace, at times, is merely the absence of war.
