Despite the departure of lead singer and frontman Hugh Cornwell in 1990, the band continue to perform successfully to thousands of fans all over the world. Interviews with members of The Stranglers. "On Stage On Screen" is a live DVD recording by The Stranglers of their concert at Shepherd's Bush, London on 10 December 2004. The performance comprised an acoustic set, the premiere of the short film Norfolk Coast (starring Jean Jacques Burnel) and the live set. All three segments were directed by Robin Bextor and the DVD is produced by New Wave Pictures.

Norfolk Coast is inspired by the album of the same name by The Stranglers. It stars Jean-Jacques Burnel as Warner a man haunted by a troubled past, with Nicholas Ball portraying his father and Susannah York in her final feature performance. The film presents a stark, everyday tale of satanic ritual abuse and its lasting impact on all those affected.

Saturday, October 30th, 1993. The Stranglers are headlining at the launch gig of the "Rock Circus Super Tent", intended to be the means by which large scale concerts can be taken to locations whose lack of appropriate venues usually sees them miss out on such events. It's a novel setting to say the least, and none of us quite knew what to expect as we left the security of our various domains this morning and made our way towards West Sussex. Anyone could be forgiven for thinking that a huge marquee, standing in a field beside a race track is not the best place to be on a bitterly cold October day. When the opening bars of "Midnight Summer Dream" herald the commencement of over 90 minutes of pure Stranglers excellence it will soon become clear that it is the only place to be...

The French TV series Les Enfants du Rock produced a documentary on The Stranglers during the release of their eighth studio album, Aural Sculpture. Being a French production, the film leans heavily on Jean-Jacques Burnel, featuring moments such as him performing “Euroman” from his solo career, teaching a karate class, and even strolling the streets in drag. The documentary captures a unique and engaging portrait of the band: Jet Black delivers reflective monologues straight to camera, Hugh Cornwell is interviewed mid-workout, Dave Greenfield demonstrates how he can program his keyboard to “answer” interview questions, and the band is even shown selling their own Strangled magazine on a street corner. Twenty one years after their recording debut, the Stranglers celebrated the release of their 13th album with this sell out concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 13th June 1997. The band were accompanied by an eighteen piece string woman orchestra to perform tracks from throughout the years including 'Golden Brown', 'Skin Deep' and Kinks cover 'All Day and All of the Night'.

In 1992, The Stranglers became the first rock band to perform at Dartmoor Prison. The concert took place on Friday, September 18th. The band used a £10,000 sound system that was won by a prison warder, according to the Daily Mirror. The event was part of a wider effort to use music as a rehabilitation tool for inmates, with the prison officer behind the competition entry also believing music could be a valuable aid.

On 4th November 2007, thirty years to the exact day since their last visit, The Stranglers made a triumphant return to The Roundhouse in London. To commemorate this anniversary, the set list was based on the original 'Heroes' Tour of 1977, showcasing material from their debut album Rattus Norvegicus and it's follow up No More Heroes. Featuring the classic four-piece format, with bassist Jean-Jacques Burnel sharing lead vocals with guitarist Baz Warne, the distinctive keyboard sounds of Dave Greenfield and the awesome percussion skills of Jet Black.

A completed 2019 British music documentary about The Stranglers. It was publicly premiered once, but still unreleased because of unresolved permissions, music-rights and financial negotiations. it has never received a normal commercial, DVD or streaming release.
