Cara drags her sister Mari, a cashier, into a never-ending conflict, while an enigmatic stranger quietly helps herself to goods in the supermarket unnoticed.

The trout farm on the Lachsbach survived the economic upheaval after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Traces of this change can be seen not only in the place, but also in its people. More than a generation later, the film explores what has remained and what has had to give way.
