A reality dance competition for kids.

A group of young, ambitious candidates for a special police unit in Baden-Württemberg are driven to perform at their best. One of them is 23-year-old Rebecca Henselmann, who will soon be deployed in undercover operations. She works hard and is ambitious, just like her colleague Christoph Laurin, whom Rebecca is getting to know. The young policewoman is highly motivated in her operations against drug and arms trafficking. In the process, she encounters abuses of power and encounters right-wing extremist attitudes in the police force too.

To fulfill the last will of his mother, the young JAKOB ADLER needs to meet his biological father, who is inmate of a forensic psychiatric hospital for murdering his own brother for over 25 years. Jakob wants to talk to the doctor in charge DR WEISS before and unfolds the true scale of the tragedy that happened long time ago.

17-year-old twins Mia and Jakob are distraught: their father died unexpectedly the night after his 50th birthday. Suicide, at least according to the police investigation. Mia and Jakob cannot accept this; unlike their mother, they are convinced that someone else must be responsible.

Ebba, a successful food chemist, has a terrible dream in which she gives birth to a healthy bear cub. For her, this is a sign from fate that something is wrong in her life. She and her husband Markus are actually a good team, both privately and professionally. They have a daughter who is studying in New York. She hardly knows anything about her. They go on a short trip to the Baltic Sea with a couple they know. Ebba discovers Arne's little circus on the beach. The Dane flirts with her and offers her a vacancy as a dancing bear in his traveling circus. She accepts the offer and goes on tour with him.

An ackward triangle forms among Philipp, her girlfriend Henriette, and Johanna, Henriette's daughter. Mother and daughter know exactly which buttons to press to get on the other's nerves. Does Johanna want the best for Henriette?

The film tells the story of Jochen, who lives with his divorced mother and her boyfriend. The family relationship is tense, the mother looks on helplessly. Out of frustration, Jochen steals a chocolate bar. Alex, an older classmate, observes him and takes advantage of the situation: Jochen begins to steal on Alex's behalf. Soon he is caught and sent to a reformatory... A group of students from Bonn filmed Hans-Georg Noack's bestseller for young people. “Escalator Down” is the successful debut of young filmmakers and impressively shows how a 13-year-old begins to steal and ends up in a downward social spiral. The writer Noack was so enthusiastic about the Bonn student group's script that he gave them exclusive permission to film his work. The result is remarkable and the film is particularly recommended for these reasons.
