After years living abroad in Turin, Lorena returns to Colombia with her charismatic husband Filippo and their ten-year-old son, settling into an imposing country home promised as a fresh start. But as Lorena attempts to reclaim her professional autonomy and rebuild a life of her own, Filippo’s subtle emotional manipulation, chronic ailments, and the sudden arrival of her overbearing mother-in-law tighten around her like a vice. Trapped beneath the polished facade of suburban domesticity, Lorena must confront the psychological walls enclosing her family before she completely disappears.

After his husband Carlos, a prominent Bogotá prosecutor, receives vicious homophobic death threats targeting their home, photographer Javier descends into severe insomnia and terrifying, reality-bending nightmares. Driven by an obsessive need to protect Carlos and their two children, Javier armors himself with an illegal revolver and round-the-clock vigilance, slowly alienating the very family he is desperate to shield. But as the line between waking paranoia and supernatural dread dissolves, Javier is caught between a clinical diagnosis of schizophrenia and a chilling metaphysical revelation: that the force hunting him is not merely an unhinged enemy, but an unresolved threshold he was never meant to cross.
