Made by the South Australian Film Corporation during the mini-series boom of the 1980s and lensed in the Flinders Ranges, it stars Sam Neill as the infamous Captain Starlight.

A sequel to the 1977 film Outrageous! Too Outrageous! is about the further adventures of Robin Turner, a gay hairdresser-turned-drag queen nightclub performer.
