strikethrough 48 is an erasure poetry film about ending one’s life in a country flooding with natural beauty but drought-ridden when it comes to services for the mentally ill. Inspired by a county north of the Golden Gate Bridge labeled "paradise on earth", it draws attention to the mosaic of invisible struggles that plagues its people and has left them paralyzed in their efforts to find a rainbow in the fog. Its "drawn-onfilm" technique allows the viewer to be immersed in the cinematic aspects of the poem, which, created by the erasure of a previous text, highlight the beauty of few words floating on a painted sea. strikethrough 48 is one of the most recent erasure poems from my choreographic poetry archive strikethrough-score.org (ca. 2020), whose purpose is not only to encourage the writing of poetry using a digital algorithm, but the cross-pollination of poetry with other art forms.

Six animation directors draw on the six lines of the I Ching to create distinct shorts rooted in Taiwanese vernacular culture. On Valentine's Day, a girl from a manga rental shop has been missing for seven days. The new chief at a seaside police station lost three people at once: the lover her daughter shot, her daughter, and the woman she once was. And the young officer at her station wears a face she recognizes. The officer and the influencer he brings in for a drug test were once childhood friends. There were never any drugs. Her soul, it turns out, has been hidden inside a man's body. A drifter appears out of nowhere and lays bare the illicit relationship he is caught in — a husband who watches and a wife who is watched — so that everyone in the room might wake from their own confusion about love. A young man turns himself in and explains that the missing girl has gone to another server. Seven days on, she is about to log back into the world. On Valentine's Day, these relationships align like a syzygy, a rare and perfect celestial alignment. Love draws them together, and the same gravity pulls them apart.

PARADISE LO5T is an allegorical sci-fi anime love story reflecting the existential geopolitical uncertainties facing Taiwan’s youth today. 16 days before the end of the world, Z takes his childhood friend Dorothy on their first date at an abandoned amusement park. As the moment to escape the planet with his family draws near, he is forced to confront a heart-wrenching choice between love and survival.
