Akiko is an assistant to the popular manga artist, Yumeno Saki. Along with her colleague Jin, she spends her days being bossed around by the younger Nemuri. Aware that her popularity doesn't match her actual talent, Saki compensates for her shortcomings by serving potted plants to publishing company executives and editors. Saki then made a move on Jin. Akiko, who secretly harbored feelings for Jin, decided to become independent from Saki. She took her own work, which was supposed to be published under Saki's name, and summoned the editor, Sugino, to a hotel.
