During the lunch break, the construction girls invite the pianist Marina to their roof. They talk about their dreams, about happiness. Marina will have her first concert soon. When she returned to her room and sat down at the piano, passersby stopped outside her window to listen to music.

A demobilized soldier, Călin Șaptefraț, returns to his war-torn Moldovan village.
