"It takes courage to accept growing old. It's the response to the cruelty of passing time that I wanted to film." (Xavier Liébard) A group of elderly people decided to live their journey through middle age to the fullest. United in the same small group for over fifteen years, they chose to share their vitality through song with others, those whom old age has excluded from the social, familial, and human experience. Against all odds, "The Joyful Companions" are active and committed to maintaining the social connections that bind them to life. But what strategies, tricks, and struggles they must invent to live old age with hope... Xavier Liébard Director, Writer

Sharing the River poster
NR

Offering privileged access to the sea, the Loire Estuary has long been a strategic area, driven solely by economic interests. But the rise of environmental awareness has significantly changed the situation. Today, the estuary has become a symbol of a major societal challenge: should we keep producing more and more, or protect sensitive natural areas? Between industry, jobs, economic interests, and environmental protection, is it possible to share the river? A glimpse into a complex world largely unknown to the public...

In the Garden of the New People's Theater Overview They wanted to create a theater that reflected their own vision, a freer theater, closer to its audience. So they built a wooden stage under the benevolent shade of a twisted church steeple, in the garden of a small village in Maine-et-Loire, Fontaine-Guérin. And the dream of a New People's Theater took shape amidst the fields. This is the story of a generation of actors in their thirties who have grown old together and who, ten years later, are realizing the audacity and fragility of their dream. For its tenth season, the company tackles Balzac's *Human Comedy* and plunges us into the torments and illusions of their lives as artists through the outlandish tale of Lucien de Rumbempré, a young poet who dreams of going to Paris. How can an artist avoid losing their soul? Therein lies the inner conflict. Xavier Liébard Director, Writer
