Nicki Montag is considered a true Casanova in the Munich suburbs. However, this is obviously not only down to him, but also to the numerous women who are only too happy to fall for his advances. With the help of his work-shy friend Jonny, Nicki beguiles one woman after another in a variety of ways. It doesn't matter whether it's the daughter of a greengrocer, a real lady or a proper artist's girl. In the case of the demanding Mrs. Consul Hale, it is even Nicki who is conquered.

1958: during the Russian campaign, a military priest is called upon to assist Private Baranowski, who has been sentenced to death for desertion, on his last night. It is also the last night before the departure for Stalingrad, which the soldiers know means certain death. The priest leaves his room to a captain so that he can meet his fiancée one last time. He himself remains in Baranowski's cell and struggles with his conscience and his emotion - even more so when he learns that the young doomed man committed desertion out of love. But the execution is carried out, and a member of the firing squad finds only cynical words for the soldier's fate.

Out of love, young Corinna follows the plantation owner Mannsfeld to the Far East - where she has to realize that he is already married. A small consolation for her is the fact that Mannsfeld is not about a womanizer, but that he is serious about his love for Corinna. The only thing standing in the way of this love is his wife, who, despite the broken marriage, does not want to let Mannsfeld go. When the wife is murdered, this crime seems to bring dubious happiness to the two of them - but it doesn't last long.

Ich, die Hauptperson. 30 Tage aus dem Leben eines Portemonnaies poster
NR

A wallet follows the financial weal and woe of an average (West) Berlin family of three on an average income. A cheerful, satirical look at everyday life in 1960, the Schulze family lives in an apartment building somewhere in (West) Berlin in 1960, with father Erwin, mother Dorette, their adolescent son Männekin and dog "Nauke". A small family in which, as in all families, there is sometimes more, sometimes less harmony. Money is always a point of discussion. When Erwin brings it home at the end of the month, Dorette divides it up precisely for the coming month in a recurring ritual.
