7.0This 1936 film tells the story of the doings of foreign agents in Germany and their allies among the German population. Having placed an ad in a local paper looking for "contact with bigwigs in German industry", enemy agents Morris and Geyer end up making contact with an engineer named Brockau. Brockau has developed an improvement in turning oil into gasoline and that's just what these enemy agents are looking for. Brockau, for his part, needs money, because his girlfriend is a selfish cow who demands more and more toys and trinkets, which has put our naive little nerd deep into debt. Brockau, however, is not the only unwitting maroon to fall into the clutches of the evil agents: the former bank agent Hans Klemm, now doing his service in the Wehrmacht, ends up being contacted by an agent from the other side and ends up getting blackmailed into working for them.

But her father would have made life a living hell for her and the child had she not married another man. This man, Robert Thiele, is still poaching and is extremely ruthless in his methods. Robert eventually blackmails Walter into rejoining the poachers. When the gang shoots the old forester Kuhnert, Robert shifts suspicion onto Walter.

8.5Glenn Gridffin, his brother Hank and Samuel Robish have escaped from prison. They choose Dan Hilliard's house, of all places, as a safe house. The reason: nobody would think of looking for the three gangsters in such a respectable house where middle-class people live. However, the entire family - father Dan, wife Ellinor, daughter Cindy and son Ralphie - are terrified. They are trapped in their own home. Meanwhile, the gangsters give the order for everything to go back to normal. Dan goes to the office, daughter Cindy goes to the rendezvous. Of course, they are not allowed to say anything, otherwise another family member will no longer be alive. The atmosphere in the Hilliard house is slowly but surely coming to a head...
