Susana wakes up after 20 years in a coma. Now a 90s teenager in a 21st century woman's body, Susana will have to navigate a world in which nothing is familiar to her and she will have to learn to live in it.

Hilario is a frustrated 40-year-old writer, trapped between nostalgia for classic literature and cynicism about the contemporary publishing world. While his novel is rejected by all Spanish publishers, he makes a living selling books at the bookstore La Ménsula and teaching an online writing workshop for older ladies, although his caustic attitude and disdain for sentimental stories only serve to alienate them.

Mateo lives in a small village near the crater of a volcano. As the volcano awakens, Alejandra, his love, sees it as an opportunity to leave and explore the world outside, while Mateo wishes to stay. As everything threatens to fall apart, Mateo realizes he has nowhere left to hide, not even behind the volcano.

Mara returns to Tenerife after breaking up with her boyfriend in Madrid. She spends the whole day with her sister Emma and they go to Carnival together. But there she remembers that this was the place where she met her ex.
