Apollinaria Limanskaya

1995, Russian Federation. Lyubov Ivanovna is a teacher in a public school for troubled youth. One day a new boy appears in her class - Kolya, the silent orphan with a permanent scowl, who reminds Lyubov Ivanovna of her dead son, who brings back memories of her dead son.

Former sweethearts cross paths accidentally on the subway many years later. They had been in love with each other in their youth, but now, as they've become adults whose personalities have been formed in very different circumstances, they grew apart.

"I dreamed of waking up as a real wolf, learning how to bite and gnaw at bones, yet every morning I woke up to be a thin-legged deer shivering in the wind, startled easily with every touch of high grass..."
