When Erica finds Fjällbacka's photographer Stigge murdered in his studio, she can't help but take interest in the investigation regarding his death. Patrik and his colleagues at the Fjällbacka police soon starts to question whether or not Stigge was the sweet old man he seemed to be. Erica is already ahead of them - since her mother-in-law Kristina has confided in her that she is one among many in the neighborhood that Stigge blackmailed... The film is set in the middle of winter in Ystad and the main character is the middle-aged policeman Kurt Wallander, who this time investigating a drug tangle. It starts with his own goddaughter Eva found dead after taking an overdose. It turns out that heroin is unusually strong and Kurt are now beginning their search for those behind the drugs. But he has a big problem. His boss will not let him look for the person who he suspects has sold the new heroin , but she wants them to look for another drug dealer named Yngve Holm. But Kurt defy the boss's orders and go again and again to Malmo to try to unravel the case. Eventually he gets a hold of the person he suspected. He'll take some photos of him and shows them for their guddotters friend Emma who were drug dealers. She takes Kurt to a friend who claims to have seen the man. The man in the photo is called Heinrich Pasila. Wallander thinks one recognizes Pasila from an earlier murder of guddotterns mother, where the offender is found.

Bert's new love is called Nadja Nilsson. Through Torleif, he finds out that she plays the violin, which Bert immediately starts practicing instead of soccer. But what will he become? A violin-playing phantom in love or a celebrated goal scorer?

During a high school reunion party the heat builds up when Tina, Peter and Ivan's enigmatic sister, unexpectedly shows up and later at the party another murder is committed that leads Erica closer to the truth about what actually happened to the missing Peter.

During a school trip with his parallel class, Bert plans to make a move on Paulina. At the same time, the bus gets stuck in the middle of the forest. Lill-Erik seizes the opportunity to take a pee, only to be left behind by the bus. The sun is shining and it's summer vacation. Bert wants to go to the beach and check out the girls in bikinis in general, and Paulina in particular. Bert's dad is going through a midlife crisis. Bert is forced to take over his dad's optician shop because his dad Fredrik would rather play with Bart's rock band "Heman Hunters". This turns out to have certain advantages, because a wonderful, fantastic girl comes to the shop. It's time to start middle school. Åke gets off to a strong start by blowing up the chemistry lab, and Bert falls in love with Ida. But Ida is with a guy called "The Gravedigger." For some reason, he wants to skin Bert alive.
