Berlin, 1932. The Weimar Republic is torn apart in the struggle between right- and left-wing extremists and Berlin is a powder keg. Nightclub singer Henny Dalgow get to know the Social Democratic congressman and Jewish doctor Albert Goldman, and the two become a slightly odd couple. Albert is a sworn pacifist after his experiences in the First World War. Contrary to his beliefs he agrees to act as courier for his brother Edwin, who belongs to a radical communist cell.

Investment advisor Stefan Lohmann has defrauded master butcher Waldemar Pückler of five million euros. He therefore wants to travel to Munich to meet the 'cattle baroness' Lucia d'Alvarez and do business with her. Lohmann also travels to Munich to go into hiding. He meets Lucia and falls in love with her, but then has a momentous encounter with his victim.

The heterosexual man Axel is thrown out of his girlfriends home for cheating and ends up moving in with a gay man. Axel learns the advantages of living with gay men even though they are attracted to him and when his girlfriend wants him back he must make a tough decision.

Miles, 18 and homeless goes through his day-to-day routine of survival, except tonight a snowstorm is coming. He and Dan, his homeless boyfriend share more of a connection than meets the eye, especially when Dan is dependent upon Miles. Survival is a must, and yield traps from food to shelter and other basic needs. Miles is faced with a moral dilemma when it comes to getting shelter.

Live concert of Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester at the Olympic Theatre in Rome in 2005. In his unique style Max performs songs in German and English together with the traditional Italian songs where he is joined by an enthusiastic live audience.

It gives people the strength to overcome many things, to accompany them in good times and to carry them through difficult times.

The professionally successful fund manager Sandra surprises her fiancé Gregor in a compromising situation with a stormy nurse and subsequently dumps the doctor. When she urgently needs a male companion for a business dinner with conservative foreign investors and turns to a gigolo agency, Gregor slips into the role of the hired man in order to convince his fiancée of his innocence in this ticklish situation.

Faultlessly fitting tuxedo, hair slicked back, a cheeky look and Max Raabe sings the best of the 20s and early 30s with amusing nostalgia. The impressive result of an elaborate concert film production in Berlin's Admiralspalast, which documents the entire artistic output of this unique line-up. Max Raabe and his colleagues from the Palast Orchester are always on the lookout for something special when selecting their musical repertoire and so this production is anything but an ordinary concert recording. This first live production since the successful albums "Küssen kann man nicht allein" and "Für Frauen ist das kein Problem" is a musical snapshot of recent concert programs. The modern compositions from the last two albums together with the repertoire from the 1920s and 1930s form a harmonious whole. One Night in Berlin is a unique concert film and a highlight in the releases of Max Raabe & Palastorchester.

On March 15, 2022 at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin conducted by Alan Gilbert gave a concert in solidarity with Ukraine. With the participation of violinist Lisa Batiashvili, singers Rolando Villazón and Max Raabe and pianist Kirill Gerstein.
