Two years post heart transplant, Ah Xun remains unable to shake off the gloom cast over his renewed life. First, there is a house fire; then, an unprecedented pandemic breaks out. Retreating to his grandfather’s home, Ah Xun finds himself persistently haunted by a string of unfortunate events. He is faced with an ex lover’s return, an encounter with the mixed-race sibling neighbours, the harrowing news of his mother’s cancer, his sister’s nervous breakdown, a friend’s drug issues, and now, the news of his grandfather testing positive for the new disease.

After his father passes away, a man returns to a soon-to-be-demolished Aerotropolis community to sort through unfinished documentary footage and remnants of a life once lived. The fractured bond between father and son remains unresolved. As the roar of airplanes echoes through the emptied neighborhood, his days lose direction. One night, an uninvited spirit that cannot be driven away enters his home.

After scripting Love Is a Gun (2023), winner of the Lion of the Future award at the Venice International Film Festival 2023, LIN Cheng-hsun presents this new short, a dramatisation of brotherly affection, through a sophisticated command of cinematic and narrative devices.

Morpheus accidentally meets Fish, a girl he has always hoped to see again. Morpheus is a psychiatrist now. Noticing that Fish is suffering from mental illness, he decides to keep her company. Unfortunately, her illness erodes their daily lives. When everything around is on the verge of collapsing, Morpheus takes Fish to another psychiatrist, Morpheus’ supervisor in the hospital, for help. However, an astonishing fact is going to shock Morpheus.
