The year is 1997, and on a gloomy evening in Detroit a group of friends are sucked into a horror movie when they gather at the house of a recently deceased occultist to screen a film entitled...HELLMARE.

A documentary crew embeds itself in the quiet life of a small-town serial killer, capturing his unsettling routines. Horror slasher film with gore and '80s homage. Blood, violence, and a killer on the loose in a small town.
