The film "The End of Dreams" is the story of a little boy who lives with his family in a village in the north of the country. When a horse comes to their home, the boy develops a strong interest in it. However, due to a mistake he makes, he gets into trouble.

Jacob's family worries about Farrokh, the son of the family. Farrokh left Iran to continue his studies but he has not been in touch with them for a long time. Jacob travels to Sweden to look for his son.

After the sudden disappearance of “Alikija”, (a boy addressed as a female), his brother approaches the local authorities. When everyone is speculating what must have happened to him, his uncle reveals that he has killed Ali and buried his body in a sacred site to safeguard the family’s dignity.
