A young boy must restore order when a group of bullies steal the magical book that acts as a portal between Earth and the imaginary world of Fantasia.

Dolf a 15 year old boy is sent back in time by a timemachine. Accidentally he is sent back to the Middle Ages. He is rescued by children who are part of a childrens' crusade, on their way to rescue Jeruzalem. During the trip Dolf finds out the danger is not coming from outside the crusade, but from within.

To this end, they take over the business of a long-established mortician who wants to retire. One of them also hooks up with the colorless daughter of the chairman of the local mortician's association in order to get money and his father's customer list from her.
