Born 1996 in Berlin as a German and Swiss citizen. 2020 Daniel started his directing studies at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and took part in an exchange programme at La Fémis in Paris. In summer 2023 Daniel directed MELODIES OF BARKING DOGS, a story about a young man in a village pub who is trying to be true to himself, written by Nicola Jakobi, co-produced by ARTE and SWR. MELODIES OF BARKING DOGS won the German Shortfilm Award in November 2024. Working with sculptors, painters, dancers and musicians Daniel co-founded the multidisciplinary cultural platform RAUM, which includes a temporary exhibition of artworks and presentations from various artistic subjects.
