Twenty years after a mysterious energy-gathering event, Dante remains haunted by what he witnessed that night. Withdrawn and unstable, he can no longer distinguish memory from hallucination. As past and present collide, Dante and his children must face their conflicting versions of the truth—and discover whether understanding it will bring forgiveness and redemption or cost them their sanity.

After an unfortunate encounter with the sage of the woods a traveler (Louis) wakes up in an unfamiliar setting. Shortly after Louis is greeted by a strange playful woman who tests the shortcomings of his character.
