Adapted from Kahlil Joseph’s renowned video art installation, BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions is a distinctive cinematic experience that mirrors the sonic textures of a record album, weaving fiction and history in an immersive journey where the fictionalized figures of W. E. B Du Bois and Marcus Garvey join artists, musicians, Joseph’s family, and even Twitter chats, in a vision for black consciousness.

Of The People: The Women Of The Civil Rights Movement shines a light on the often-overlooked women whose courage and leadership shaped one of the most transformative eras in American history. While names like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X dominate popular narratives, this work centers the voices and stories of women who organized, strategized, and sacrificed to dismantle segregation and secure voting rights. From grassroots activists to national leaders, these women such as Ella Baker, Fannie Lou Hamer, Septima Clark, and Dorothy Height fought not only against racial injustice but also gender discrimination within the movement itself.

Set during her sold-out residency at the historic Blue Note Jazz Club, this intimate short film follows Grammy-nominated poet Aja Monet as she moves between performance and stillness, transforming the stage into a space for vulnerability, resistance, and connection. Captured entirely on film, the piece observes the quiet moments behind the voice as much as the electricity of the room itself, creating an immersive reflection on resence, artistry, and what it means truly be heard.
