In Rome it hasn’t rained for three years and the lack of water is overturning rules and habits. Through the city dying of thirst and prohibitions moves a chorus of people, young and old, marginalised and successful, victims and profiteers. Their lives are linked in a single design, while each seeks his or her deliverance.

The origin story of one of Italy's greatest rock stars, Gianna Nannini, who chased her dream despite obstacles from her family and the music industry.

Giovanna, a twelve-year-old born and raised in a small village near Grosseto, possesses an extraordinary imagination and cannot come to terms with the mysterious disappearance of her best friend, Mirko—who has left her all alone to face the bullies at school. Determined to uncover the truth, the courageous girl sets off on an adventure all by herself.
