A vacuum repairman moonlights as a street musician and hopes for his big break. One day a Czech immigrant, who earns a living selling flowers, approaches him with the news that she is also an aspiring singer-songwriter. The pair decide to collaborate, and the songs that they compose reflect the story of their blossoming love.

At the end of the summer in 2018, Glen Hansard and The Footsbarn Travelling Theatre traveled around Ireland, pitching a beautiful circus tent in four remote locations. They used the space for music, theatre, poetry, and there was even room made for fun, joy and laughter. Filmmaker Myles O’Reilly documented the madness.

In The Deep Shade is a feature length film about The Frames. Filmmaker Conor Masterson worked closely with the band over 18 months, beginning on their 20th anniversary tour in 2010. 'The Frames have always been very positive collaborators. I felt this was an opportunity to make a film that could explore their creativity as people and musicians as well as capturing some of their very dynamic and exciting live performances in close up.'
