This award-winning documentary delves into the events of Black Saturday, the devastating bushfires that paved through Victoria, Australia, from February to March 2009. Through heartfelt interviews and personal stories, it explores the resilience of its survivors and veterans, and the strength they faced in times of utter darkness.

A man awakens in an alley, with nothing but an empty sketchbook and no recollection of who he is nor where he came from. As he wanders through the city, pieces of memories inspire detailed sketches that unveil his wife and daughter's identities, as well as his own skills as an artist. Over time, he collects more clues about his past, but will it be enough to discover the truth about his family and secure a meaningful future - with or without them?
