Adan patrols Tamsui parking lots. A new white sedan gleams in the sun. She wonders who owns it, a stark contrast to the usual dreariness.

The building is gone. After the fire, they planted flowers and trees. The past lies covered, as if no one had ever lived here. There is no stone. No name to speak. The park grew green, but nothing named who once had been.

Oom has no papers or formal training but is good at caring for the elderly and disabled. When his situation as a caregiver in the mountains becomes too much for him, he has to choose between survival or dignity.
