A three-part docudrama commemorating the 80th anniversary of liberation, chronicling the battle in Zeeland and West Brabant. Dramatic scenes, archive footage, and animations reveal the power struggles behind the seemingly united Allied front and its devastating consequences for Zeeland.

The two rival Allied commanders, General Eisenhower and Field Marshal Montgomery, clash in a battle of egos and strategic choices, with devastating consequences for the people of Zeeland during the liberation of the Netherlands.

In Amsterdam’s criminal underbelly and a hidden empire of drugs, power and old-school gang codes, Robbie's parents are murdered at the hands of notorious gangster Franz Müller. Twenty-five years on and seeking revenge, Robbie infiltrates his gang from the bottom up in order to kill the man responsible, only to discover that the British underboss is grooming him to settle a debt no one was ever meant to survive.

How could it happen that the Dutch State became the largest drug importer of the 1990s? The docuseries takes a look at the dark undercover world of the Interregional Criminal Investigation Team (IRT), a specialist police force founded in 1988 to combat organized crime in the Netherlands. This prestigious police team infiltrated the criminal environment, as a result of which it became increasingly involved in drug trafficking, among other things. The delta method, as this infiltration technique is called, led to the police team even having its own drug line from South America to the Netherlands in the 1990s. In 'De IRT Affair', the main characters tell their story about how they imported thousands of kilos of drugs in the period from 1988 to 1993 to combat organized crime.
