Johannes Wijnandus (Johan) Remkes (Zuidbroek, June 15, 1951) is a former Dutch administrator and politician for the VVD. His roles included State Secretary for Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (1998–2002), Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (2002–2007), Deputy Prime Minister (2002–2003), and King's Commissioner for North Holland (2010–2018).

The Binnenhof now looks different in the corona era. It has also become quieter there and people keep their distance, but the question whether and how our democracy will survive is just as important as before.
