Millennials experience first love and discover their emerging identities in this teen drama told partly through texts, chats and social media posts.

Italy, 1997. When Clara and Irène, both 17, meet they are nothing like each other but get on marvellously well. They run away together to a faraway island off the coast of Sicily to live their summer freely, and to hide from a reality they want to forget.

Giada and Carlo have been a couple for many years, both artists. He is a writer looking for a new story to tell, she is a dancer struggling as she directs her first experimental dance show. When Peter Drago comes into their lives, neither can imagine how much everything is about to change. Carlo is fascinated by him, finding in him a new creative inspiration, while Giada is increasingly restless, fearing that her past may come back to surface. But the truth always finds a way to emerge.
