Gürkan Korkmaz was born in Ankara in 1985. He received his first theater education in the theater department of Müjdat Gezen Art Center. Later, he got master's degree in Theater at Haliç University. He participated in Michael Chekhov International Training Program and Workshops. He worked as an actor in city theaters, state theaters and various private theaters. He completed her doctorate at Kocaeli University Dramatic Arts program. For the first time in terms of world literature, he brought a new interpretation of the origin of the acting profession and brought to the agenda that the phenomenon of Memorate constitutes the ontological basis for both acting and theater. And by transforming these claims into a method under the name of Memorate Acting, he claimed that he put forward the world's first acting method with an ontological ground. Currently (2026) working as an academician in the performing arts acting department of a state university and she also takes part in various TV series and movie productions.
