Spring 1991: As queer life is under attack in Britain, experimental artist Derek Jarman is turning Edward II into a radical protest film. Told through unseen behind-the-scenes footage, this is a story of the power and cost of queer visibility — then and now.

Tony Evans is the deputy head of a local primary school. Emma Dretzin is a pianist, composer and single mother of two daughters. Neither knows the other until a startling encounter changes the course of their lives: on the same morning, they are both confronted with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s.

Presumed dead heir to Lord Atwell’s title and fortune, Stanley Atwell unexpectedly returns to the family estate, having escaped a decade of mysterious captivity. His shocking reappearance causes chaos as his sister Beatrice fights to claim his inheritance, whilst close friend Pamela manipulates his puzzling return, and a dark family secret, in a bid to seize control of the Atwell fortune.
