An apartment building in the east of the Netherlands, near the German border, is destined for demolition. It is the birthplace of the eccentric Henk, who, sixty years later, still lives there. Henk spends his days on a small stool in his kitchen, listening to pirate radio stations—music that transports him back to a bygone era.
