Commissioned to mark the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, "To Each His Own Cinema" brought together 33 of the world's pre-eminent filmmakers to produce short pieces exploring the multifarious facets of cinema and their perspective on the state of their chosen artform in the early 21st century.

The owner of an Information Technology firm wants to sell his business for profit. The trouble is that when he started his firm he invented a nonexistent company president to hide behind when unpopular steps needed to be taken. When potential purchasers insist on negotiating with the "Boss" face to face the owner has to hire a failed actor to play the part.

Michael is a widower who is struggling to adjust to his new role as the sole caretaker of his two children. Still reeling from the death of his wife, he has been plagued by terrifying apparitions. When he volunteers at a local literary festival, he finds himself drawn to Lena, an empathetic author of supernatural fiction. While Lena tries to help Michael with the mystery of his nightmarish visions, she must contend with problems of her own, as she’s being jealously pursued by self-obsessed novelist Nicholas, her one-time lover. Worlds first "Royality Comedy Event". In an unprecedented 9 hour live "piggyback" transmission, comedian quartet Casper Christensen, Frank Hvam, Lars Hjortshøj and Lasse Rimmer of Casper & Mandrilaftalen (1999) fame, marathon-hosted and satirically skewed every imaginable AND unimaginable aspect of the Royal Wedding between HRH's Frederik X and Dronning Mary, on may 14th 2004. Characters included ex-boyfriends, aboriginals, so-called experts, wine-tasters, weathermen and a slew of hilarious off-beat characters, all played by the four comedians. This event was the much anticipated follow-up to the successful pre-test-transmission Zulu Royal (2003) from the Royal Engagement, October 8, 2003.

Frank and Casper's friendship is put to a test, when Casper decides to leave Denmark to pursue a solo career in Los Angeles. Determined to win his best friend back Frank chooses to follow Casper insuring an eventful trip.

Frank is left with the responsibility for his nephew Bo on an already planned canoe trip. Frank's mate Casper is also coming along. Weighed down a with their obligation, Frank and Casper nevertheless look forward to ending the trip at Skanderborg Festival where there's plenty there for the guys, a spree of drinking and women. Not the best example to set for young Bo. And how do their partners see it all?

A Danish crew of misfits travel to Saturn in search for natural resources. However, the planet is colonized by a ruthless army of Aliens that turn their eye on Earth and invade Denmark. Thus, the crew change their mission to liberate Denmark.

Laura is an unlucky gambler with a huge debt, she crosses paths with Claus, a former boxer who now makes a living as a debt collector. Laura is cheating, scamming, and lying and eventually life catches up with her. Claus is trying to regain his self respect and start anew. Together, they make an awkward but very charming couple on the verge of love. It is a story about trust, friendship, new beginnings, getting a second chance and doing the right thing.

Hannibal is a nice and polite boy, but Father and Mother think he hangs too much in front of the television. They therefore give him the dog Jerry, whom he is very pleased with. It turns out that Jerry, as the dog is called, is not an ordinary dog, because it can not bark, but on the other hand it can speak. The crafty toy maker Uncle Grandfather and his henchman Uncle Harry would like to grab Jerry, and it involves various conflicts involving a cheeky dog trader, an unlucky glazier and a distinct police cops.

When we wrote 'Nu Som Mennesker', we wanted to try something new. We wanted to invest ourselves in the material in a different way. And develop the stand-up form. We think we succeeded a fair bit along the way. But that kind of thing is a commitment. There's no point in us just making an ordinary filming of the show when we're going to make a DVD. We have to take things the rest of the way. Because if we don't do that, who will? That's why the version of 'Nu Som Mennesker' you're now sitting with is somewhat different to the show we toured with in 2011/2012, although of course it still forms the core. We've played around with the material, added a lot of new things, moved some of the show out into reality, made a music video, let Jørgen Leth tell the story, and anything else we thought would take the show to a new place that fits the format. You have been warned!

The third and final feature based on the acclaimed Danish TV series finds Frank turning 50 so Casper invites him to Iceland on a boys' trip. Naturally, the trip does not go quite as planned.
