Mi-Rye is a high school girl who participates in volunteer service in a rural village during summer vacation. When she gets lost in the mountain, she meets Tae-Ho who is a member of biology club of boys' high school. He is on his way down to village after he finishes gathering herbs and plants on high altitude. They stray in the thick fog and finds a villa where they stay awake. The next morning, they are found by teachers. They are expelled from school because the older generation and teachers don't believe their sexual morality. Following his wife’s dying wish, Young-gu moves to Seoul with his young son and a loyal servant, Yong-pal. Struggling to adapt to city life, he encounters scams, hardship, and fleeting moments of connection, only to lose what little stability he builds. As he finishes mastering martial art, Jeong-Nam saves a girl on his way from the mountain and names her Ri-Ok who comes home with him. As the devil king of Chil Bo Mountain finds one of his follower is assaulted by Jeong-Nam, he kidnaps Lee Ryong couple. Then Jeong-Nam starts to Chil Bo mountain to save his parents. He defeats the devil king with his long trained martial art and help of Ri-Ok in spite of dangerous adventures and finally saves his parents.

The death toll is very high at the construction site of a villa. The villa's owner and on-site construction manager also meet their deaths. The reason for their deaths is that the refuge and freedom of their spirits are being infringed upon so they start taking their revenge on the people. The house becomes abandoned and haunted. A scientist couple from the U. S. comes to live in the house. The spirits start making trouble for them so the couple asks a powerful Buddhist monk to help them. The Buddhist monk talks with the spirits and finds out their demands. The couple ends up moving elsewhere.
