Natalya Chernyavskaya

A production by the Russian Academic Youth Theater based on Thornton Wilder's play of the same name. Life, love, and death are the three components of this performance. The action begins on May 7, 1901, in a small American town. Two families, the Gibbs and the Webb, live next door to each other. Their children attend school, and their entire lives are spent in full view of each other.

The seasoned vampire Count Darlak returns to his castle after a century-long absence. He has a wonderful appetite, and soon people start disappearing and dying. And only the count's servant, a man named Adam, remains alive and well. Although his only desire... is to become a vampire himself. Adam is a shipwreck victim. At one time, the count picked him up on the seashore, cured him and made him his “day representative.” Adam is an obedient tool in the hands of evil, but any tool can one day get out of control.

Fate brings two girls together at the very beginning of their lives. Seven-year-old Lyubka, growing up among street thieves, distracts the attention of a rich family at the train station, and at that moment a suitcase is stolen from them. After this incident, the "little robber" often imagines herself in the place of a well-dressed girl, with mom, dad and a beautiful doll in her arms.
