Lolette an exotic and spirited peasant girl lives In the small Spanish village of Juanguera . Although ardently courted by the native swains, and particularly a bandit called The Tiger, Lolette prefers Maurice Tabor, a French artist who has come to Juanguera to paint. Because he refuses to take her to Paris, Lolette accepts a gift of stolen jewels from The Tiger and follows Maurice to France.

Elizabeth West, a young woman who is both a thief and a con artist and allied with a gang of crooks, is freed when a jury does not convict her on a larceny charge. She determines to aid district attorney Richard Templar to round up a gang of narcotic traffickers. Disguised as an old woman, she secures the privilege of having an old confederate, who is in solitary confinement, temporarily released to aid in the plan. He turns against her, however, and she is forced to work alone with the district attorney. They succeed in their plan and then confess their love for each other. A lost film.

Hilda lives in a tenement apartment with her aunt, Mrs. Brady, and her crippled younger brother Micky, and works in a department store where her boss lusts after her. But happiness comes into her life when she meets artist Emery Gray. Gray's wife deserted him long ago, leaving him with their daughter Susan (Mary Jane Irving) to raise. While Susan and Micky become playmates, Hilda restores Gray's faith in womanhood.
