The film opens on Dino Earth fifteen years ago with a village elder telling the story of how Princess Freezia sealed away a pair of evil Bakuryuu with the Holy Sword, encasing them in ice. If the evil creatures are ever released from their prison, the world will end in a grip of fear "encased in white".

Set across Japan's Tohoku region, five interconnected themes of love, friendship, grief and human resilience come to life in an anthology inspired by more than 14,000 real-life stories shared through an online community. A widower struggles with guilt and loss, two childhood friends revisit memories of the 2011 earthquake, a divorced woman confronts prejudice during the pandemic, a comedian grieves for his former partner, and an aspiring singer returns home after abandoning her dream. Together, their journeys explore the bonds that connect people through life's most difficult moments.
