Lucy Kostos

Elena is meeting her friend for a movie. On the way there, a voice from another place tries to reach her.

The film was inspired by Lucy’s great aunt, Katina Kostos, a formative figure for Lucy whilst growing up. Lucy travelled to Ithaca, Katina’s birthplace, to trace her story. Through the exploration of Katina’s life Lucy learnt about the descendants of the Kostopoulos and Varvarigos families and their stories of war, loss, migration, and longing.
