By a stream in the woods – a place between worlds – two women find each other ankle-deep in the water, letting go of what's past and wondering what will come.

A woman must choose between her future and her boyfriend's survival.

On Whidbey Island, a grieving man is haunted by his memories and spirals closer to a breakdown two decades after the death of the woman he loved.
