Thalia Kent-Egan

Haunted by strange visions and nightmares, Clari receives a mysterious call from a long lost friend who hides a dark secret from their past.

A psychological horror about a middle-aged, queer woman forced to relieve the traumatic childhood memories that she has completely repressed. Growing up, Eve was tormented by the rats that lived in her home and her mother used to read her the story of the Pied Piper. The climax of the film is when Eve sees the child her being sexually abused by the pest control worker. This time around she can protect little Eve and she picks her up and runs out, only to find that the little girl has turned into an old, china doll.

Kadi and Stella have created a space of joy, safety and power. Their room is a celebration of their love and at the heart of it their double bed. Now that Kadi has to return to her conservative family back home, what will become of their bed? The Bed is an exploration of queer joy and the often precarious feeling of having a safe space and a happy relationship in the face of an oppressive world.
