“Every man has his own destiny: the only imperative is to follow it, to accept it, no matter where it leads him.” Inside an after-hours bowling alley, a counselling session is underway with the attendances discussing the various merits and drawbacks of execution strategies and the prevention of occupational hazards. A man offers to play the flute and all hell breaks loose from there. The weapon is a folded chair, the victims his fellow professionals and the crime is predestined by karma. As the camera lingers on the gory actions, set to offbeat music and at times muted and occurring out-of-frame, a foreboding, dark and somewhat sinister overtone hangs heavy in the air. In a profession such as his, life is predestined by karma and choice is not an option.

As a long-standing bar prepares to close, owner Hung and his young staff member Yip set out to return unclaimed bottles of wine to their owners. Through these encounters, Yip learns the deep connections between the wines and their stories, gaining insight into Hung’s philosophy. Alongside veteran bartender Bill, passionate mixologist Grace, and singer Adam, they create lasting memories for their customers in the bar’s final days.

Casting a sword with one's bare hands may sound like a crazy idea to many in the high-tech, digital 21st Century, but not to Fung, a stock broker, who welcomes the assigned task that bears special meaning. When Fung is bequeathed a tattered notebook by his father Lang on his deathbed, his life is turned upside down. Tasked with a heavy undertaking, Fung has to think and look out of the box before rolling up his sleeves to forge the sword. Matt, a mute bounty hunter, arrives at a jazz bar where he meets the bar owner who not only knows everything about him, but also his arrest warrant with a very high bounty. Matt originally is after his target and his family but fate drags him into the infighting of the corrupted governors. He and the orphan of his target face tedious situations and finally continue their journey in the wild wide west.
