In WW1 Germany, Australian citizens are pronounced 'Enemy Aliens', and their lives and whereabouts are controlled by the authorities. Wilf is taken from his University and placed on a rural farm, and then later imprisoned along with other foreigners as the war rages on across Europe.

A man follows a self-proclaimed "alien" on a mountain expedition, desperate to immortalise his dead wife through the discovery of a new insect species.
