At a bus stop near Beirut, a veiled Lebanese woman and a migrant Syrian worker get in a tumultuous moment and are arrested. They must argue their innocence in the face of the only witnesses: a bus full of women on their way to Koran school, each with her version of the truth.

Robert's dreams as a young musician were gone with the Lebanese civil war, which made him give up to reality and settle down in his father's barber shop in Hamra. The film portrays Robert in his daily routine in the shop, his encounters, memories and relation with music and the city. Through him, we discover and explore Hamra streets in before and after the civil war.

Enad, a sixty-year-old Syrian refugee living in Lebanon, decides to resist fate and stand up against injustice. He embarks on a quest to find land to bury Syrians in the Bekaa. He is helped in his mission by Sobhie, a forty-year-old Lebanese woman and daughter of a clan sheikh, who one day opened her son’s grave to bury a Syrian child whose family could not find a burial site. Enad does all he can to achieve his goal, while his children try to escape by sea.

Mira, a Palestinian actress who lives in Beirut, decides to pursue her dream and go to Palestine. Her friend, Elias, accompanies her all the way to the borders at the South, convincing her that all she's doing is surreal and absurd.
