German film about a Himalayan expedition and the search for a mountain spirit, who guarded, according to the tradition of the locals, the peaks of high mountains. The long-lost and recently rediscovered and restored film is now a unique cinematic document because it is the first feature film that was shot directly in the Himalayas (up to 6400 m altitude). Hans Ertl even turned his Bell & Howell to the main summit of Sia Kangri, 7422m. Likewise, the film contains footage from India and Tibet, from a time long before the emergence of mass tourism. Some of the footage was later recycled in ‘Lost horizon’ (1937) by Frank Capra and in ‘Storm over Tibet’ (1952).

Chief engineer Sparkuhl thinks the Captain has seduced his niece, who later committed suicide. The court decides that the Captain has gone overboard without anyone else's "help", but the rumors don't come to an end.

Propaganda film detailing the plight of ethnic Germans, known as "Volga Germans", in the Soviet province of Manchuria.

Brothers Grimm adaptation. The story follows Hans, who, after seven years of service, is rewarded with a large lump of gold. As he travels home, he trades the gold for a horse, the horse for a cow, then a pig, a goose, and finally a grindstone. Despite losing the immense value of his initial payment, Hans feels increasingly free and happy, ultimately dropping the heavy stone into a well and rejoicing in having no burdens.

The stenotypist Margit is supposed to take 3,000 Marks to the bank for her boss, Mr. Plaumann, but she lazes away the time window-shopping, and eventually stands before a closed door. The story is set in Berlin at the beginning of the 20th century. The members of a singing group live in poor conditions in a dilapidated building. When the manager of the property is murdered, Peter and Paul, both members of the singing group, become suspects in the murder. When they return from a performance, the police are waiting for them to take them in for questioning. Since Paul is the most likely perpetrator according to the investigation, he is arrested immediately.

France in the first half of the 17th century, at the time of the Duke and all-powerful Cardinal Richelieu. The courtesan Marion Delorme falls in love with the nobleman Didier de Lassigny, although she is still with another nobleman at the time, the Marquis de Saverny. Marion then leaves the Marquis. This leads to a duel between the two aristocratic gentlemen, although duels were strictly forbidden in these circles by Richelieu. When this becomes known, Didier is put in chains and sentenced to death. Marion sacrifices herself for the sake of her new love, but the sacrifice is in vain. Didier, who refused to flee, is finally beheaded by order of the "red executioner" Richelieu.
